Lugol’s Iodine 2% and 5% Solution

The thyroid requires iodide and gets little benefit from iodine alone. Every cell in the body needs iodine or iodide.

Calculating Number of mg’s of Iodine and Iodide per Drop of Lugol’s Solution:

2%: Each drop (= 1/20ml) is approximately1.0 mg of iodine and 2.0 mg of potassium iodide. The Iodide portion of Potassium Iodide is about 1.5 mg plus 1 mg iodine = 2.5 mg.
5%: Each drop (= 1/20ml) is approximately 2.5 mg of iodine and 5.0 mg of potassium iodide. The Iodide portion of Potassium Iodide is about 3.75 mg plus 2.5 mg iodine = 6.25 mg.

Recommended dose: 5 drops 2% or 2 drops 5% or 12.5mg daily. Which is based on the Japanese diet, coming from mostly seaweed.

Made from premium ingredients; the iodine used is derived from mined crystals from 320 million year old natural brine deposits two miles beneath the earth’s surface in Western USA (one of the few places in the world where such deposits exist). Not made from shellfish. The water used is distilled, pure, New Hampshire spring water.

Approximately 2050 drops per 4 oz. Store at room temperature out of direct sunlight. Does not expire. No need to refrigerate. To use as a water purifier, add 3-6 drops per liter of water.
